Takashima D-13 1.2mm Spring Steel Chassis for Awesomatix A800RR TKSM-118
Takashima D-13 has a new product line coming in the range of Steel Chassis for 1:10 Touring Car with the first release for the A800R from Awesomatix. The same thickness as the original Awesomatix offering, the Takashima D-13 version product features superior quality and finish. In collaboration with a full-scale automotive machining factory team, they have selected a special Spring steel that offers an optimal balance of strength and durability. The chassis features ultra-flat precision grinding with nanometer-level accuracy and a mirror-finish surface treatment for exceptional performance and consistency. Designed to be used with 120-degree flat head screws, it no longer requires special custom screws, greatly improving cost efficiency and ease of availability.

Please read the following information:
Because the steel plate is only 1.2 mm thick, it cannot be installed using traditional 90-degree countersunk screws. Our chassis plate must be installed with 120-degree countersunk M3 flat-head screws. (Using non-120-degree screws will enlarge the holes and cause permanent damage to the plate.)
Although you may find this type of screw on the market, we strongly recommend using our Takashima D-13 factory-custom screws for the best installation results.
Our custom screws feature:
-
Each screw specification is manufactured with its own independent mold. The precision surpasses mass-produced screws of the same size, ensuring that once installed on the steel plate, the screw head sits perfectly flush without any protrusion, preventing deformation of the plate.
-
The screws are made of carbon steel with a silver-coated surface and have a strength rating of 12.9. The recommended tightening torque for all M3 screws is 0.8 N·m to achieve longer service life and better resistance to frequent assembly and disassembly.
-
The depth of the screwdriver engagement has been specially adjusted to ensure the recess is deep enough for secure tightening, reducing the chance of stripping.
Due to the natural physical properties of steel, rust may occur, especially after the anti-rust coating on the plate wears down. This is a normal phenomenon, and we kindly ask for your understanding.
